Breast Care Nurse Role Overview
The Breast Care Nurse role is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive team, providing exceptional care to patients diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. As a key hospital resource, you will promote best practice in patient care through clinical improvement initiatives and service innovation.
You will be responsible for applying advanced knowledge and skills to facilitate the continuity and quality of care, working collaboratively with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing high-quality patient care in line with the hospital's care values and strategic direction
Acting as a key hospital resource for promoting best practice in patient care
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless patient care
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
A high level of critical thinking and problem-solving within a clinical setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently within a supported team and independently as required
Current registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Oncology and or surgical oncology
Completion of Certified Breast Care nurse course or equivalent
