Job Title:

A highly skilled Cancer Care Specialist is sought to join our multidisciplinary team providing expert medical assessment and management of patients with cancer in the Wollongong and Shoalhaven areas.

The ideal candidate will have a focus on brain, breast, lung, and genitourinary cancers with experience in subspecialty training and clinical trials research. An unrestricted provider number is essential for billing outpatients.

About the Role:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and participate in quality improvement activities
  • Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and staff
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff and other hospital staff

Requirements:

  • Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with subspecialty training in Medical Oncology
  • Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position
  • Demonstrated capacity and/or experience in the provision of effective high-quality services and participation in quality improvement activities relevant to the specialty
