Lead risk & issue management efforts: By fostering a risk-aware culture and utilizing your expertise in Defence Capability Lifecycle, Defence Risk methods, and assurance frameworks, you will help shape the success of this important program.

In This Role, You Will:

- Demonstrate leadership by promoting best practices in risk management across the program and projects.
- Cultivate an organizational culture that encourages open discussion, sharing, and resolution of risks.
- Coordinate the adoption of CASG Risk Management Policy and its procedures throughout the program.
- Drive the evolution of the Risk Management Policy and supporting procedures through periodic reviews and updates.
- Collaborate with project risk managers to ensure effective identification, assessment, treatment, and monitoring of risks.
- Manage the central Risk Register (PREDICT) for the program.
- Offer valuable insights into risks through thorough analysis, environmental scanning, and engaging with the team.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports for the SEA5014Ph1 Senior Leadership Team and other relevant managers.
- Support internal stakeholders in understanding their risk management responsibilities through education and guidance.

To Excel In This Role, You Will Bring:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry/domain experience.
- Proficiency in the Defence Capability Lifecycle.
- Demonstrated and current experience in risk management.
- Sound understanding of risk management methodologies within Government and Industry contexts.
- Strong organizational skills to independently manage complex tasks and priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach that thrives in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous involvement with Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), or Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG).
- Familiarity with the risks associated with engineering, technical, logistics, or commercial domains.
- Ability to acquire a Construction Induction Card (White Card)
