HIF is seeking an experienced Risk Consultant to join our team, bringing expertise in identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and managing risk exposures. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the implementation and continuous improvement of HIF's Risk Management Framework across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Identification and Analysis: Identify, analyze, evaluate, and manage risk exposures to support informed business decisions.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support the ongoing management of risks and controls.
  • Risk Assurance and Improvement: Provide periodic assurance over key controls to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Business Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to business improvement initiatives that support a mature and proactive risk culture.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Assist with maintaining relevant policies and procedures, as well as the risk management information system.
  • Internal Audit Reviews: Assist with the coordination of internal audit reviews and monitor the status of audit findings.
  • Risk Management Support and Training: Deliver risk management support, training, and education across the business.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and an ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across the business.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risk.
  • Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Experience: Proven experience in developing, implementing, and continuously improving enterprise-wide risk management frameworks.
  • Risk Assessment, Mitigation, and Remediation Strategies: Experience in risk assessment, mitigation, and remediation strategies.
  • Microsoft Office Applications: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Policy Development and Maintenance: Skilled in drafting and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of private health insurance regulatory requirements, or experience in the financial services sector or other highly regulated industries.
  • Minimum 2+ Years' Experience: A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a risk-related role.
