The primary objective of the role is to support colleagues in understanding and maintaining adherence to BNK's operational and compliance risk obligations including financial crime, conduct, privacy, credit, and strategic risks.

What you will bring

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a compliance risk management role within the Financial or Professional Services industries
  • Ability to help our customers achieve their banking goals in a safe and secure manner.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Law or other relevant Someone with experience in privacy or Anti Money Laundering (AML) compliance risk management (desirable)
  • Excellent problem solving and observational skills, with the ability to identify and provide trusted advice on risk matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-focused and able to explain issues and concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of APRA, ASX and ASIC regulations and legislation

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain oversight of incident management within BNK, including period reporting to the Board and Board Committees on the management of incidents within BNK, including trends.
  • Manage the Line 2 day to day financial crime responsibility for BNK.
  • Review and continually enhance the BNK AML framework and processes to ensure they align with the most recent AUSTRAC requirements.
  • Provide BNK assistance on understanding and adhering to its compliance obligations in relation to its products and services, licensing, marketing, and other matters.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance BNK's compliance risk framework, policies and procedures.
  • Work with the business to ensure that both existing and new products and services comply with privacy obligations.
  • Complete Privacy Impact Assessments as required by the business and provide insight and support on any of the findings.
  • Monitor local and international privacy and AML legislation to ensure compliance and awareness of any potential or emerging impacts to BNK.
  • Be an integral part of the Risk Management Team with the flexibility to encompass other risk tasks and duties as required.
