We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trading Representative / Operator. In this role you will be responsible for equity trade transactions on the ASX via the Integrates Trading System (ITS), placing orders for overseas markets and the NSX & BSX markets.

The successful applicant will possess a strong attention to detail, perform well under pressure and have a sound market knowledge.

Furthermore, depending on the qualifications and attributes of the successful applicant, the role also provides the opportunity to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and additional qualifications to transition across in time to an investment adviser.

**Requirements**:

- High Level of data entry accuracy
- Self-motivated and ability to meet deadlines
- Sound problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer & team focused
- Experience in using the IRESS Order Entry Platform will be highly regarded
- Competent computer skills including MS Word & Excel

**What you will be doing**:

- Execution of trades
- Order reconciliation
- International share queries/placing international orders
- Newcastle Exchange Order Placement/Booking
- Central Trade Manager (CTM)/Electronic Trade Confirmation (ETC) Reporting
- Reporting of Short Sales to ASX
- Sorting of contract notes during the day
- Using the IRESS Order Entry Platform
- Liaising with Advisers and their Assistants
