**The Job**

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to positive change by developing innovative approaches to environmental regulation within the current legislative framework and supporting the transition to regionally based approaches to regulation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work in a friendly, hard-working, and collaborative team to identify and respond to emerging regulatory issues.
- Engage widely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and support the development of complex projects, contracts, and procurements.
- Travel to locations across Queensland to meet stakeholders and develop a first-hand understanding of the industries, landscapes, and species impacted by environmental regulation.
- Develop and implement business process improvements.
- Be supported in your professional development by an experienced and supportive management team.

**What We Are Looking For**

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Stakeholder engagement, project management, and regulatory experience will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of the EPBC Act and a tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous but is not essential.

**Skills and Capabilities**:

- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- A keen interest in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of environmental regulation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to identify problems and solutions.
- The ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
