**About the opportunity**:
The Ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet team within the Ministerial, Media and Communications Branch is looking for individuals to fill vacancies at the APS 5 and APS 6 levels. The team manages, support to, and engagement with Portfolio Ministers, Parliamentary Committees and Cabinet.

**Duties associated with these roles include;**
- Coordinate with the officials' engagement in Parliamentary processes, including Question Time, appearances before Senate Estimates and other Parliamentary Committees.
- Coordinate input from across the department to develop policy comments and drafting suggestions for Cabinet Submissions.
- Coordinate timely and high-quality briefing to support relevant Ministers at Cabinet meetings.
- Coordinate and quality check Ministerial submissions, briefs and correspondence in accordance the Ministerial requirements.
- Exercise discretion and judgement, including the ability to action tasks within established work practices and priorities, and identifying priority and sensitive tasks for escalation.
- Develop and maintain strategic awareness of the department's role and its linkages to policy and operational proposals from other agencies.
- Lead and manage a high performing and cohesive team as they complete day to day tasks (APS6 level only).
- Will gain a high level of visibility of the breadth of the department's mission
- Will liaise across the organisation to support Ministers and senior leadership
