About the role

An exciting opportunity for a Lifestyle Officer has become available to join our team on a permanent part time basis (70 hours per fortnight) at our Inner West Day Centre in Ashfield.

As a Lifestyle Officer, you will assist in the evaluation, design and delivery of enjoyable lifestyle programs that support the emotional well-being of our community clients.

Key responsibilities

Conduct activity programs/therapy, diversional therapy and recreations.
Encourage the participation of all care recipients in the activity program
Record progress notes
Carry out duties as directed by the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator
Active participation in the delivery and evaluation of activities

About You

A proactive and energetic person with a strong customer service focus
Minimum Certificate IV in Lifestyle (or equivalent in similar area)
Previous experience facilitating Lifestyle and Recreation programs advantageous
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Current NSW Driver's License
Drive 8-seater bus or willing to learn
Well-developed computer skills
Self-motivation with well-developed organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Community care and or experience working with clients with dementia preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
