With multiple thriving Registered Clubs (Wests Ashfield Leagues Club, Croydon Sports Club, The Markets Club at Homebush West) we foster a positive, collaborative, and energetic work environment that values professionalism and innovation.

Established in 1955, the Group is responsible and progressive in all areas of its business and boasts a culture of excellence and inclusion. With over 100 staff, a gaming installation of circa 500 EGMs and 30,000 members, the Club places its people and the community at the forefront of all of its activities and initiatives.

We're looking for a motivated Marketing and Events Coordinator to help grow our functions and events business, ensuring seamless coordination, high-quality customer service, and strong community engagement.

Your Role

As the Marketing and Events Coordinator, you'll be a key player in delivering high-quality, well-executed functions and marketing initiatives that drive engagement and revenue. From weddings and corporate events to community fundraisers and club promotions, you'll oversee the planning, coordination, and communication between internal departments, external caterers, and clients to ensure every event runs like clockwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of our functions and private events business in line with club objectives.
  • Liaise with members, community groups, and corporate clients to coordinate and deliver exceptional function experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with our external catering partners to ensure clear and consistent communication across all touchpoints.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our venue spaces, packages, and events.
  • Manage all function details including bookings, client communications, set-up logistics, and post-event feedback.
  • Ensure the seamless handover of function information between departments (e.g. operations, food & beverage, front of house).
  • Support the Marketing & Community team with promotional activities, campaigns, and member engagement programs.

  • A proactive, detail-focused organiser with a passion for delivering high-quality events.
  • A strong communicator who can build rapport with a diverse range of clients, staff, and suppliers.
  • Someone who understands the unique rhythm of the club industry — flexibility, weekends, and community focus.

Key Competencies & Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience within the club industry – highly regarded.
  • Customer-focused with a strong community mindset
  • Confident working across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Flexible availability – including evenings, weekends & public holidays when events require
  • Valid RSA and RCG certifications (required)
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Previous experience within the Club Industry is highly regarded.
