Strategy Manager

**About the role**:
The Corporate Strategy Manager is a new role supporting CDC's end-to-end strategy development and implementation across the organisation to achieve CDC's goals.

Work closely with our Chief Strategy Officer to support the future growth and development of our organisation through the development and implementation of end-to-end data and insight-driven corporate strategies and initiatives.
- Identify, analyse, qualify and model emerging issues, markets, opportunities, risks and trends impacting on CDC's activities using advanced analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data, market intelligence, customer feedback and research.
- Make research and data driven recommendations about the best response to the issues, market developments, trends and opportunities identified.
- Translate complex analysis into concise executive level reports and strategic recommendations.
- Provide insights across the organisation around emerging trends, stakeholder and market analysis, value optimisation and strategic projects.
- Lead the development of analysis techniques and develop sophisticated models that support the organisational goals.
- Support the development of the strategy insights platform to provide data capture, analysis and monitoring of key strategic objectives and develop sophisticated business intelligence layers, predictive models and decision-making tools.
- Collaborate across the business and ensure all relevant business units benefit from the strategy data and analysis insights.
- In consultation with the relevant stakeholders across the business, co-design key strategic initiatives to support execution of strategy and future operating model.
- Support the implementation of strategic initiatives and activities.
- Play a primary role in coordinating the strategic planning process and developing key deliverables (e.g. Corporate Strategy, Strategic Plan, board presentations, etc.)
- Coordinate the implementation of the corporate strategy across the organisation, including running scenarios and diagnostics, organising and facilitating collaborative sessions with key stakeholders and providing guidance on strategy frameworks used to prioritise initiatives and maximise benefits and outcomes.
- Contribute to the broader CDC team business and operational objectives and long-term strategic goals.
- Act in an ambassadorial capacity for the company.

**About you**:

- To be successful in this role, you will be a highly skilled and commercially astute professional, with substantial experience in growth-oriented strategy development and implementation, able to look at the big picture while guiding stakeholders on day-to-day execution.
- You will have exceptional critical and strategic thinking skills, alongside a proven track record of scoping and analysing strategic issues using a range of primary and secondary data sources and research methodologies to articulate the key "so what" insights.
- You will leverage your strong personal skills and ability to influence, establish and maintain long-term relationships across all levels of management to implement strategic initiatives by leading or coordinating working groups.
- You will use your excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deliver exceptional executive-level presentations offering original solutions to complex problems.
- You will bring your excellent planning and organisational skills, alongside your outstanding attention to detail, analytical and modelling skills to building data-backed business or investment cases for a range of strategic initiatives and managing the strategic planning process.

**Experience**:

- 5+ years' experience with a leading corporation, investment bank or management/accounting consultancy
- Previous corporate development/M&A experience in B2B, B2G technology/operations environments preferred.
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong data, strategic, quant/qual analysis, modelling and financial skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Relevant qualifications or relevant experience
