Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Functional Lead - User Experience, Change and Communications on a contract for 3 months with potential extension.

**Position Overview**

To be successful in the this position you must have the following:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a change management and/or communication, public relations or journalism discipline, or equivalent experience
- A thorough knowledge of change principles, processes, behaviours and skills necessary to effectively identify, manage, initiate and influence change, and manage and support others through it
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills; able to identify and work with stakeholders; evidence of network building and driving change through others
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement engagement and communication strategies
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management, and ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion

Desirable criteria
- Experience working in user research and experience design in a government or corporate environment, ideally with skills and experience in digital service/interaction design, user interface design and/or graphic design is desirable.
- Experience in using analytics tools to interpret and analyse data such as customer feedback and digital interaction patterns to continually improve the user experience.

**Major areas of Responsibility**

The Taskforce Functional Lead - User Experience, Change and Communications is responsible for
- Designing, delivering and managing user-centric content and experiences for internal and external digital channels and systems
- Supporting and engaging stakeholders to research and analyse user needs and design better services for our users
- Planning, controlling, executing and reviewing the design, development, delivery and management of project communications
- Developing and managing strong and productive working relationships with AMSA business areas to enhance Taskforce communications planning, promotion opportunities and media support
- Monitoring and evaluating opportunities and risks for stakeholder engagement and communications activities
- Managing and supporting the organisational change including clear and consistent communication, active engagement practices and celebrating and advertising success
- Creating engaging content, meeting Plain English and accessibility requirements to support communications activities
- Coordinating efforts with other specialists
- Evaluating and ensuring user readiness
- Managing stakeholders
