Your opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Project Support Officer to join our Mechanical Electrical and Control Systems (MECS) mobilisation team on a fixed term contract until end August 2025.

The Operations and Maintenance group is dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient supply of water services to our customers through the operation and maintenance of our water, wastewater and resource recovery infrastructure. This group plays a pivotal role in delivering on Urban Utilities Purpose to "Enrich Quality of Life" with performance measures through the delivery of critical outcomes of ensuring the safety of our people and customers, protecting public health, protecting the environment, ensuring the provision of the services meets the needs of our customers and minimising the cost of these services in the long run.

This role will be accountable for providing project support for the mobilisation of the Mechanical Electrical and Control Systems contract and other civil related contracts. These contracts are part of the overall strategy for the new One System for Maintenance commercial model.

A project support officer is responsible for the coordination and contribution to a range of activities in support of projects. A project support officer also contributes to issue resolution and escalation, planning and monitoring activities and driving continuous improvement.

The role adds value by providing onboarding delivery support to the partners in the programs and works planning area to ensure they can deliver the works for our customers and community.

About you:
- Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Project Management, or a related discipline, or substantial relevant professional experience.- Project Support Experience: Proven experience in a project support role, demonstrating the ability to assist in the successful delivery of projects.- Operational Expertise: Strong operational knowledge and experience in service delivery operations, including works planning and program management.- Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.- Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated, driven, and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment.- Collaborative Approach: Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.- Security Clearance: Eligibility to meet security clearance and SOCI (Security of Critical Infrastructure) requirements.
