The company operates across a number of farming, processing and distribution sites in New South Wales and Victoria.
**About the Role**
Due to the ongoing growth of the Rivalea business, we are excited to commence our search for a **Head of Category, Brand and Portfolio** to join the Sales and Marketing team in our newly formed Pork Division. Reporting to the GM Sales & Marketing, this position is a key leadership role and is responsible for driving profitable sales growth through building the category, brand and portfolio strategy across the retail grocery, wholesale and commodity/trading channels. This role owns both the strategic direction and execution of these plans across the marketplace.
- Lead and develop a team of two, driving a high-performance culture-based environment
- Build and drive a strong category, shopper, consumer and customer centric mindset
- Grow trusting relationships across the S&M team and broader cross functions
- Build a compelling category strategy that aligns the business to the customer and consumer

- Drive effective portfolio management
- Lead the retail pricing strategy (branded) process with strong sales team business partnering
- Lead the corporate branding development and execution across the Pork Division
- Build and cultivate professional, strategic and robust relationships with agencies that drive outcomes
- Plan, influence and execute in a manner that builds trust and respect
- Develop, implement and manage annual category and brand plans
- Drive disciplined portfolio and stage gate process
- Measure, monitor and track daily, weekly, monthly and YTD performance vs agreed targets
- Manage the portfolio of sales towards a sustainable and profitable position
- Manage the brand, trade marketing and category insight budgets (~$3m) effectively

- Demonstrable experience in a similar Brand and Category Management position
- Strong and effective relationship builder with engagement building skills
- Strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail who can execute
- Deep understanding of how to measure and drive strong ROI in brand and insight investment
- Skilled influencer
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to build strong brands and portfolios through compelling category planning
- Experience with building a high performing team from scratch (i.e through relocation and /or integration)
- Experience with an Agri-based business model experience highly preferred (Fresh and/or Protein category)
- Strong working knowledge of retail grocery and wholesale, foodservice channels
- Proven agility in leveraging category and shopper insights to unlock opportunities
- Turning data into insights - demonstrated quant and qual research experience
- Self-managed and self-motivated
