Do you have the strategic acumen and policy expertise to make a real impact? Join us as an EL1 Policy Officer and play a pivotal role in driving policy development and strategic outcomes in the renewable energy space. On offer is a 12 month labour hire contract.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Thinking**: Coordinate, analyse, and advise on gas market issues, shaping the strategic direction.
- **Influence Outcomes**: Communicate complex issues succinctly to non-expert audiences, including the Minister, Cabinet, and senior executives, through briefings and submissions.
- **Innovative Solutions**: Identify issues, efficiencies, and opportunities for reform, recommending innovative solutions using critical thinking and sound judgement.
- **Collaboration**: Develop productive relationships, work collaboratively, and negotiate outcomes with colleagues and stakeholders.
- **Team Leadership**: Assist the Director in managing and leading the team.

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- **Leadership Experience**: Proven ability to lead small teams, projects, or workstreams, supervising staff and maximizing team performance.
- **Policy Expertise**: Experience providing advice on complex policy, regulatory, or coordination matters, working with internal and external stakeholders.
- **Research Skills**: Ability to investigate and source key information to support decision-making processes.
- **Continuous Improvement**: A commitment to continuous improvement and a positive response to change.
