**Key Responsibilities**:
**Policy Development & Interpretation**:

- Analyse, review, and develop policies

**Strategic Thinking & Analysis**:

- Employ critical and strategic thinking to shape policy directions.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Liaison:

- Coordinate and prepare responses for government and public inquiries.
- Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including government bodies, Indigenous groups, and community members.

**Documentation & Communication**:

- Prepare comprehensive policy documents, reports, and briefing materials.
- Communicate macro to micro policy issues effectively across various platforms.

**Desired Skills & Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Public Policy, Law, Water Management, or related disciplines.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate multidisciplinary, cross-agency, and geographically dispersed teams.
- Proficiency in policy interpretation, negotiation, and scientific analysis.
