- About the role
The Head of Education and Programs is instrumental in shaping the participant experience within the Activator and ensuring the offering is distinct in the marketplace and achieving our goals of creating a range of entrepreneurial experiences and an entrepreneurial mindset within our community.
- The role is responsible for the overall development and architecture of the practical entrepreneurship learning agenda within Activator to ensure what our community experiences is impactful.
- Specifically, the role covers program and product design, content development and sourcing, the design and delivery of all learning activities and key differentiators to all our experiences that will build a unique entrepreneurial mindset within our community and reinforce a global best in class reputation.

About you
- This role has responsibility to work alongside the Director to build on and implement the strategic plan developed to support growth of the RMIT Activator.

You will be required to demonstrate a strong personal accountability for results, strong commitment to teamwork in support of Activator's success, adherence to ethical business practices, a high level of attention to detail and accuracy and comfort operating in a start-up environment.

You will have a balance of external and internal university accountabilities including enhanced collaboration with the Activator's initiatives, in addition, the development of leading-edge experiential education experiences focused on innovation and entrepreneurship into scalable products.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:
- Significant work history within industry/not-for-profit/government sectors related to innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship development, or relevant areas.-
- Demonstrated significant facilitation experience in delivering content related to enterprise, design theory, creativity, innovation, new business model development, commercialisation, and technological disruption within a higher education institution.-
- Significant knowledge of current and emerging issues within the field of innovation, enterprise, and entrepreneurship education.-
- Had success in use of contemporary education principles, innovative and disruptive teaching approaches and experiential pedagogy including the development of educational programs that leverage face to face, blended and online technologies.-
- Demonstrated evidence of strong networking skills and the ability to work with external industry/not-for-profit/government sectors - to ensure a positive external focus on these sectors and the community to facilitate teaching and to promote the RMIT's Innovation and Entrepreneurial education initiatives.-
- Evidence of the ability to working collaboratively across an organisation and with external partners towards the development of shared projects and initiatives.-
- Significant leadership skills including the capacity to initiate lead and manage change in a challenging and dynamic environment requiring a high level of analytical and problem solving ability.- Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience and/or a record of success, leadership, and administration in an entrepreneurial environment, such as new venture creation or business development.
