WHO YOU ARE

You are an experienced compiler/classifier working towards attaining your broker's license, and you show strong interest and experience on tracking and analysing on regulations. You are someone is able to maintain clear effective communication on all levels of the business including both externally and internally. You are capable and prepared to solve issues when they arise with a sense of urgency. Knowledge of Australian Customs Tariffs is essential. You have strong quarantine experience, and sound knowledge in the customs and trade area. Your computer and organisation skills are of a high standard. You can contribute actively as a team player whilst developing the business and delivering results.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Compiler/Classifier you will be exposed to all aspects of the international supply chain from end to end, facilitating supply to our customers. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
- Accurately compile/classify and value import and export products in accordance with the Australian Customs Tariff
- An understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects of moving goods into and out of Australia
- Accurate data entry using computer and industry-specific software
- Prepare documents for lodging
- Checking and monitoring of all import paperwork ensuring compliance with the relevant Governmental departments
- Liaising with Brokers, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, transport and government bodies when necessary
- Assist in the receiving and checking all documents for Customs and Quarantine clearance.

We use our supply process expertise to balance range and space capacity with forecasting and ordering to provide customers with high availability while minimising costs. This is one department always challenging effective and efficient ways of picking up the products for our customers all with the end goal of working together to improve the customer experience at IKEA

This role is open to remote based working and can be done from any IKEA AU location.
