**About the opportunity**

As the Sydney Transport Facility Manager, you'll be at the heart of Australia Post's dynamic transport operations. Reporting to the NSW/ACT Transport Manager, you'll lead a team responsible for the day-to-day management of Sydney Transport, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery and seamless operations. You'll play a crucial role in shaping local strategies to drive efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.

**What you'll deliver with us**

In this role, you'll oversee the execution of the State Network and National Transport Strategy, driving operational success for the Sydney Transport Facility. You'll manage a fleet of 360 drivers, ensuring compliance, performance, and cost management. Your focus will be on achieving key performance indicators for productivity, quality, and customer service while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

- Lead change management initiatives to ensure the facility operates efficiently and optimally.
- Manage daily operations, including rostering, driver compliance, and performance management.
- Ensure safety and wellbeing across all operations, fostering a safety-first culture.

**You'll also need**:

- Significant experience in operational management, particularly in the transport or logistics industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record in managing large teams.
- Expertise in transport compliance, including Chain of Responsibility, Injury Management, and Fatigue Management legislation.
