This hands-on leadership role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves dogs, and has a strong presence for customer service, team coordination, and business operations.
This role is Monday to Friday, (shifts start and finish varying times 8:45am and 5:45pm) with the occasional Saturday so its a great role for someone that loves management but wants their work/life balance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the salonSupport and manage a team of groomers – approx.
4 staff a dayEnsure high grooming standards, dog welfare, and customer satisfactionCoordinate grooming schedules and client bookingsConduct quality checks and manage client feedbackRetail & Customer ServiceManage the boutique retail space, visual merchandising, and product stockDeliver outstanding customer service and build lasting client relationshipsPromote sales, product knowledge, and new stock launchesOnboard, and train new staffLead with positivity, accountability, and collaborationCoordinate rosters and ensure coverage for grooming appointmentsFoster a supportive and respectful team cultureOperations & AdministrationManage day-to-day business operations and KPIsHandle store reporting, ordering, inventory control, store maintenance, incident handling and financial performanceCollaborate with HQ on promotions, events, and local marketing initiativesAbout YouExperience in retail and/or grooming salon management (pet industry experience a bonus)You're confident, personable, and love building genuine relationships with clientsComfortable speaking with customers in-store, over the phone, and via email, including handling enquiries, feedback, and concerns with professionalism and careYou bring strong sales and service skills, with the ability to recommend products and services to suit each dog's needsCalm and solution-focused when managing incidents or complaints, always putting the dog's wellbeing and the client experience firstExperienced in team leadership, scheduling, and daily operationsOrganised, efficient, and confident in managing schedules and operationsPassionate about pets, people, and creating a high-quality boutique experienceWork with a respected and established Australian brandGreat team environment with ongoing training and supportDiscounts on services and retail productsNo Sundays or public holiday shiftsIf you're ready to lead a boutique team that's all about style, service, and wagging tails, we'd love to hear from you
