Location: Sydney / Remote | Type: Full-Time
Fastrack Technology is hiring a Network Engineer to take full ownership of our global IP transit infrastructure.
You'll manage and optimise BGP routing, upstream connectivity, and peering across our international backbone — ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency at scale.
What You'll Do
Operate and scale IP transit and peering infrastructure
Optimise BGP policies for performance, cost, and route control
Tune inbound/outbound paths using local-pref, AS-path, MED, and communities
Automate config and monitoring workflows (Python/Ansible)
Enforce routing security (RPKI, IRR, prefix limits)
Own operational processes, tooling, and documentation
What You'll Bring
3–5+ years in IP transit/carrier-grade routing environments
Deep BGP knowledge (transit + peering)
Edgecore, Fortinet, or similar platform experience
ISP or MSP background preferred
Relevant certs (JNCIP, CCNP/SP, NSE) highly regarded
