**About the role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to lead B&D manufacturing across VIC, based at our B&D site in Kilsyth. Managing a large team, you'll focus on driving performance across all areas including safety & sustainability, quality, production, maintenance, and logistics.

You'll be engaging, mentoring and empowering your team to work cohesively and will ensure they achieve results by giving them a clear vision of business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Focusing and inspiring your team on how we can deliver ongoing benefit to the B&D business
- Supporting team activities to improve output, quality and safety performance
- Monitoring and improving performance by providing structure, direction and KPI's on relevant measures
- Managing operational costs and budgets to ensure value and benefit to the business
- Initiating, designing and implementing initiatives that step-change the performance of the VIC business
- Driving a Continuous Improvement agenda using LEAN principles

**Skills & Experience**:
This is a crucial role, so you'll need the confidence to work autonomously and a strong commercial acumen and customer focus to succeed. As an excellent influencer and negotiator, you'll build rapport with all levels of stakeholders and have great change management skills. This role could suit an experienced Operations Manager or a Production/Manufacturing Manager looking for the next step in their career. Other key skills and experience include.
- Collaborative leadership experience within engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain
- Experience with Industrial Relations and negotiating EA's
- Solid experience in safety and quality
- Experience driving Continuous Improvement projects following LEAN principles
- Experience with financial reporting and managing budgets including cost savings
