Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the North East of Melbourne and state-wide. The North Eastern Public Health Unit (NEPHU) is one of nine public health units in Victoria; three in metropolitan Melbourne and six covering regional Victoria. Together these units form a coordinated network, working in partnership with the Department of Health to deliver a comprehensive public health program for Victoria. The NEPHU is led and coordinated by Austin Health and works in partnership with Northern Health and Eastern Health in a networked operational structure with responsibility spanning approximately 1.81m people living in the northeast of metropolitan Melbourne. The NEPHU is proud of its diverse multidisciplinary team who reflect the community we serve.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the NEPHU Education and Capability Development Lead, and working closely with other key NEPHU stakeholders, the Training and Capability Development Officer will support the creative design, development and delivery of learning content across NEPHU, contributing to the development of online learning solutions, supporting staff to keep accurate training records and assisting with the development and maintenance of NEPHU courses.

This time-limited role (12 weeks from start date) supports the effective use of new and emerging learning technologies to enhance capability of NEPHU staff with a focus on best practice use of Austin Health's Atlas Learning Management System (LMS) and supportive programs, such as Rise Articulate.?

**Essential Knowledge and skills and selection criteria**:

- Qualifications in education, workplace training or other relevant field, or equivalent workplace experience.
- Experience and expertise in clinical or health education.
- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning and workplace-based learning principles.
- Knowledge and experience in eLearning and use of learning management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the professional competence of other staff.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including group facilitation experience.
- Advanced interpersonal, liaison and negotiating skills with the ability to network effectively in the design and delivery of training initiatives.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability with capacity to identify education needs and trends and develop innovative programs and approaches.
- A broad range of knowledge and experience in modalities for delivery, particular in a remote and multi-site working environment.
- Demonstrated creative and proactive approach to the management of change.
- Analytical, project management and report writing skills.
- High level computer literacy.

**Desirable but not essential**:

- Knowledge and experience in interprofessional education models.
- Knowledge and experience in research.
