Training Officer Learning and Capability

The Department of Justice and Community Safety seeks a Training Officer – Learning and Capability to deliver high-quality training sessions to Youth Justice staff. The successful candidate will possess Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) and current first aid qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging training sessions on initial and refresher first aid and CPR training
- Contribute to relevant learning materials through subject matter expertise
- Collect and maintain training data, conduct assessments, and complete reports on attendance, assessment results, and compliance
Working across multiple training venues in Victoria, the successful candidate will be part of a team delivering quality learning and professional development to better serve the community.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will require recent/current real first aid experience and the ability to apply what is taught. A justice environment background is desirable but not essential.
About the TeamThe Youth Justice Learning and Capability team delivers training across Youth Justice Custody and Community areas. Our commitment to child safety ensures we seek to prevent harm and have zero tolerance for racism, child abuse, and inequality.
