**Payroll Officer**

Located in Greensborough, this role is part of a dynamic growing team that has a contingent workforce of 400 cleaners across the state.

**About the Role**:

- Provide timely and accurate administrative support to enable the processing of the fortnightly payroll,
- Perform timely and accurate keying of timesheets, setting up and keying new employees, following up on documentation, scanning and ensuring employment files are complete.
- Use your ordered mind and high level of attention to detail to ensure payroll related checks and compliance processes are completed in a timely manner.
- Update payroll records in case of any changes
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies that occur
- Respond to employee questions about payroll, work hours, or possible discrepancies and other compensation-related inquiries
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field not required but highly favourable
- Experience working as a Payroll Officer or a Payroll Clerk
- Expert knowledge of labour and employment laws related to wages and taxes
- Expertise in using HRIS and payroll software, such as Quickbooks, Xero, or Gusto
- Excellent mathematical skills and superb attention to detail
- Good communication and organizational skills
