**About the role**

On a daily basis you will:

- Manage & guide the workload of a team that consists of Senior Planners, Graduate Planners and Students,
- Work cooperatively with the team and other teams and departments of Council to review, improve and integrate processes and procedures,
- Attend relevant Panel Meetings (DEAP, LPP and SCCPP and Design Jury)
- Assist with Land and Environment Court matters
- Liaise with building professionals, the public and other interested parties on development assessment matters &
- Assist in the mentoring and professional development of staff within the team
- The role is part of the Management Team for the unit, with acting opportunities available from time to time

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications (degree or associate diploma) in town planning, building surveying or related discipline
- Extensive relevant experience in development assessment
- High level of communication (oral and written); negotiation and conflict resolution skills (includes problem solving); innovation and people management skills
- High level customer service and case management skills

**What's on offer**

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $116,493 to $128,238 (salary + super).
