Job Title: Electrical Maintenance SupervisorLocation: Brisbane, QLDSalary:128k Base + OT + SuperRoster: Rotating 4-Week Roster (4 On / 5 Off / 5 On / 4 Off)Vaccination Requirement: Must be willing to obtain a Q fever vaccination About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a busy industrial facility.
In this role, you will oversee the maintenance operations, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are maintained to high standards for safety, efficiency, and productivity.
You will be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance fitters and coordinating maintenance activities across shifts to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance fitters, electricians and apprentices providing guidance, support, and training to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
Maintenance Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance schedules, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety standards and procedures.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Assist in diagnosing complex mechanical issues and ensure effective and timely repairs are performed.
Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety within the team by ensuring compliance with safety regulations and conducting regular safety audits.
Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruption to operations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and compliance documentation.
Performance Monitoring: Evaluate team performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement in maintenance practices and processes.
Roster Schedule Shift Times: Day Shift – 4 AM Start; Night Shift – 4 PM Start Average Weekly Hours: 42 hours across a 4-week rotation 4-Week Rotation Overview: Week 1: 48 hours (4 shifts: 2 days, 2 nights) Week 2: 60 hours (5 shifts: 2 days, 3 nights) Week 3: 36 hours (3 shifts: 3 days) Week 4: 24 hours (2 shifts: 2 nights) Qualifications Electrical Mechanic/ Fitter license or relevant field with experience in maintenance operations Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a maintenance environment Strong understanding of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment Experience with inventory management and maintenance scheduling systems Willingness to obtain Q fever vaccination if not already vaccinated Skills and Attributes Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across various departments Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment Commitment to safety and continuous improvement in maintenance practices Benefits Competitive salary with stability and long-term career prospects Opportunity to lead a skilled maintenance team in a reputable organization Access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities A supportive work environment focused on safety and teamwork
