We have a vacancy for a full-time Admissions Coordinator with our organsation.

About the role:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing, the Admissions Coordinator is responsible for the admissions process for the organisation.

What does your new role look like?
- You will lead the selection of suitable residents, the preadmission and admission process and oversee the associated assessments.
- You will ensure appropriate care needs and preferences are identified and documented and support staff in the completion of ongoing assessments through mentoring and guidance concerning the Nursing Process and Person Centred Care.
- You will support planned and unplanned resident transitions and advising residents and families of the most suitable care/service options to meet their needs
- You will provide a meaningful and seamless experience for the resident, focusing on their goals and facilitating a warm transition to care
- You will be responsible for maintaining and maximizing resident occupancy levels, monitoring referrals/placement inquiries and ensuring a high-level customer experience
- You will build a strong referral network of service providers, health professionals, community groups and other community partners to support referral channels

About you:

- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in all ares of resident admissions
- A good understanding and experience in the aged care standards and accreditation process
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- High level of data entry accuracy
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience in Aged Care, Nursing, Social Work or Allied Health would be highly regarded
- Proven ability to think outside the box when identifying and engaging alternative referral channels
- A current driver's licence
- NDIS Workers Screening Check within the last 5 years
- Evidence of COVID and Flu Vaccinations
