**About the role**
The NDIS Accreditation Officer at Activ, reports to the Head of QHSE and is responsible for assisting with the effective and efficient management of Activ's NDIS accreditation, supporting with the collation of accreditation data and reporting requirements, ensuring that Activ continues to comply with accreditation standards and processes.
This is a two (2) year fixed-term contract.
**A typical day in the role may look like **
- Conducting compliance reviews and internal audits Identifying and implementing strategies on how to improve internal controls and processes
- Supporting and driving the implementation and embedding of audit recommendations to ensure accuracy and appropriate control management
- Ensuring improvements are aligned to applicable legislation, regulations, accreditation standards and best practice
- Developing awareness, through training, information sessions, coaching and mentorship to key staff within Activ on a variety of quality and compliance related topics, and provision and advice to staff regarding quality requirements
- Contributing to the preparation, planning and facilitation of NDIS external audit cycle including supporting understanding of the quality requirements and external audit process.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure a robust quality and continuous improvement strategy is implemented and maintained across Activ.
- Experience in the disability or aged care sector
- Strong communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution/negotiation skills
- Understanding of legislation, NDIS requirements, policy and compliance issues
- Ability to conduct research, interpret and understand regulatory requirements
- Ability to plan, conduct internal audits, manage projects, set priorities and meet deadlines and
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards.
- National Police Clearance and/or NDIS worker screening check.
