Every Support Worker we recruit is individually matched to the personality, goals and expectations of people we support (our Members).

We're looking for males, ideally who are local, to be a mentor, guide and motivator for a young man living in Golden Bay. This Member is 16 years old and lives in his own home with a team around him who provide assistance for him to live his best life.

He is sociable, curious and energetic, enjoys swimming, fishing, going to his local park and being 16 he also likes gaming. Transformers and watching YouTube videos are also high on his list.

This young man would benefit from people around him who can guide him with emotional and sensory regulation in order to assist him with managing relationships and connections.

Ongoing support throughout the day, assisting him to have consistency in his life, structure and routine, preparing for the day ahead. This helps to create boundaries and ultimately allow him to feel safe and connected.

There are times when this young man can become frustrated, angry and may struggle to regulate himself. This is where positive role modelling and a strength based approach will really help him. Men with life experience, who are confident are encouraged to apply.

If you know how to connect with young people, have a calm nature, can work autonomously as well as be a team player we would love to hear from you.

Having the ability to think on your feet and work well under pressure would be valuable assets.

There will be mentoring, training and plenty of support provided for successful applicants

**Salary**: From $35.28 per hour
