**About this Opportunity**

AVK Industrialhas an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join us at our Australian Head Office in a permanent full-time position.

As a key member of the Operations team you will be responsible for
- Preparing work instructions & checklists. Preparing drawings of the valve assemblies and designs for mechanical engineering work.
- Ensuring that designs and finished assemblies are within specifications, regulations and as per customer's requested standard requirements.
- Assisting project estimator and area sales managers using mechanical engineering skills in the design and sizing of the valve and actuator.
- Selecting right machining tools and equipment. Ensure the final products meet the quality requirements for the customers and relevant standards.
- Using mechanical engineering technician skills to size, assemble and install new and modified (refurbished) valves assemblies with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic actuation systems
- Estimating material and labour costs and quantities and machining requirements
- Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance.
- Visiting customer sites and performing and directing field tests to find root cause analysis may also be required.

**About you**
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Mechanical Drawing software certificates such as Auto CAD
- At least 2 years' work experience
- Mechanical assembly and testing
- Quality check and control
