Are you a skilled professional looking for a challenging role in the manufacturing industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team.

As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting plastic injection molding machines. You will require specialized knowledge of materials, specific tools, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, draft, manufacture, and test prototype parts and assemblies for injection tooling.
  • Prepare documents required for design data packs, including specifications, compliance matrices, design calculations, and analysis reports.
  • Perform detailed mechanical design calculations, including modeling, simulation, and verification testing.
  • Check the tooling structure from supplier-provided 3D models.
  • Create CNC programs for injection tooling repair.
  • Operate CNC, lathe machine, wire cut machine, EDM machine, and welding machine.
  • Repair and modify injection tooling.
  • Propose, plan, and implement process improvements to increase quality, reduce costs, improve safety, and enhance efficiency, working closely with manufacturing engineers and support teams.

Requirements:

  • A relevant diploma qualification or higher
  • More than 3 years' experience in tooling design
  • More than 5 years' experience in injection tooling repair
  • More than 2 years' experience in CNC programming
