Are you looking for a career in mechanical engineering?

This position is for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Operations team at the Australian Head Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing work instructions & checklists.
  • Preparing drawings of valve assemblies and designs for mechanical engineering work.
  • Ensuring designs and finished assemblies meet specifications, regulations, and customer standards.
  • Assisting project estimators with mechanical engineering skills in design and sizing of valves and actuators.
  • Selecting right machining tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring final products meet quality requirements for customers and relevant standards.
  • Using mechanical engineering technician skills to size, assemble, and install new and modified (refurbished) valves assemblies with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuation systems.
  • Estimating material and labour costs and quantities and machining requirements.
  • Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Certificates in mechanical drawing software such as Auto CAD.
  • At least 2 years' experience in mechanical assembly and testing.
  • Excellent quality check and control skills.
