Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance group, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Preparing technical drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of senior engineers
  • Conducting root cause analysis, fault-finding and diagnosing efficient solutions to machine breakdowns
  • Installing, removing, inspecting and repairing mechanical spare parts like bearings, seals on typical mechanical equipment
  • Performing major overhauls of equipment with or without external contractors and vendors
  • Disassembling, assembling, observing, repairing, testing, collecting data and preparing reports on equipment

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Knowledge in wide variety of machine diagnostics software highly regarded
