Strive Community Care provides therapeutic home environments for children and young people with histories of complex trauma, abuse and neglect. We utilise a strong Therapeutic Framework and unique CREATE Model of Care with a focus on establishing holistic safety. Children and young people are provided with a sense of family, support to heal, opportunity to positively connect with others, and rebuild their lives.

We are now seeking a Regional Manager (South-West Region) to play a key senior management role in supporting children and young persons in their healing journey by providing care in therapeutic homes (Residential OOHC and WeStrive Mentoring Program). The position is a permanent, full-time role working out of our Seventeen Mile Rocks Office.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this pivotal role will be responsible for delivering the strategic and operational objectives of the organisation while upholding the values of Strive, leading staff with collaboration and kindness, and overseeing the service delivery of a range of offerings to achieve positive outcomes for young persons and families.

**Duties of the successful applicant include**:

- Operations of the organisation adhere to high professional standards and in a manner that promotes the safety, welfare & wellbeing, family and community connections for children supported by Strive in line with organisation policies and legislative requirements.
- Provide leadership to the operational management team and ensure staff capability is developed to each team member's full potential.
- In collaboration with the Quality & Therapeutic Practice Coordinator, developing the practice of the region through monitoring standards of practice and delivering training/support where needed to maintain or improve the quality of care.
- Engage with stakeholders in a high-quality, senior management level to maintain and develop positive sector relationships in achieving positive outcomes for young persons and families.
- Ensure a safe workplace for all direct and indirect reports within the region by abiding by WHS requirements and promoting the organisation's wellbeing focus (safety planning, EAP service, monthly supervision, appropriate rostering, post-incident support, etc).

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant/s will require the following Qualifications and Experience:

- A commitment to the safety of children, young people, and people with a disability.
- Relevant qualifications in human services, and/or extensive experience in a similar role.
- Senior management experience working in residential OOHC and a thorough understanding of complex trauma and therapeutics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in Child Protection legislation, standards, and mandatory reporting obligations.
- Ability to think strategically and develop effective and practical solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to identify, collaborate, develop, and implement creative and innovative service improvement strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent networking and key stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proven capacity to work in a high-level leadership team.
- Hold or willing to attain a valid Blue Card (QLD WWCC)
- Hold a current unrestricted QLD drivers licence (or equivalent)
