**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Laboratory Coordinator to join the team in Rowville. Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be responsible for driving a quality culture by ensuring that of all products manufactured on site meet all regulatory, statutory and company specifications.

This position is responsible for managing the Laboratory team who provide routine chemical and microbiological analytical services to the site. You will need to ensure the provision of an efficient and reliable testing service in accordance with approved methods.

Key accountabilities include:

- Leadership of the Laboratory team to ensure that all work carried out is delivered in a timely manner to the required standards;
- Provide technical expertise in relation to result interpretation;
- Investigate and assist with determining root cause of quality failures and assist with the implementation of corrective actions;
- Provide an auditing function for the Quality Systems for the Laboratory;
- Provide assistance where appropriate for the implementation of corporate laboratory methods, sampling plans and standardised reporting;
- Maintenance of Laboratory Quality System;
- Ensure training of Laboratory team in appropriate methods and procedures;
- Ensure the integrity and appropriate storage of Laboratory documentation.

**About You**
- Degree or Associate Diploma in Science or Food Science
- Previous experience leading and coaching a team;
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, both internal and external.
