General Commercial Lawyer for a commercial law firm in Sydney

**Your new company**

Highly regarded commercial law firm in Sydney with areas of practice including Corporate & Commercial, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Tax, Insolvency, Property, Competition and Consumer Law, Workplace Relations, and Estate Planning. They specialise in working with business owners and individuals and their deep understanding of owner-managed businesses enables them to develop creative solutions and deliver positive outcomes.

**Your new role**

Supported by an established team and 3 partners, the role will undertake a range of general corporate and commercial work across the following practice areas:

- Stakeholder disputes
- Regulatory Enforcement and Investigations
- Legal Compliance Risk Management
- Corporate Governance
- D&O matters
- Corporate Law
- Commercial and Corporate Advisory
- Competition and Consumer Law
- ESG compliance
- Privacy and Cybersecurity
- Personal Property Securities Act
- Corporate Finance and Secured Transactions

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Admitted to practice as a Lawyer in Australia with minimum 3-6+ years PAE
- 5-6 years PQE is ideal, but up to 10 years PQE will be considered
- Current Australian Legal Practising Certificate
- Extensive experience in general corporate and commercial law
- A mix of experience in several of the practice areas listed
- Experience dealing with regulators; buying and selling businesses; ASX companies; and Governance
- The role does not need any M&A experience
- Strong academic transcripts required
