Sky's Sustainability and Compliance team is gearing up to meet the climate change challenge. We have created a new role that will make sure Sky's Suppliers are work towards Net Zero and meet our sustainability requirements. We are looking for a dynamic individual to help steer our Sky and our suppliers through carbon assessment to produce the best products and service on the market. We will encourage you to develop your skills in energy management, eco-design, chemical, waste and supply chain due diligence compliance.

What you'll do:

- Run the Net Zero challenge for Sky's scope 3 emissions
- Lead risk assessing suppliers and working with suppliers to develop their sustainability programmes, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, improving human rights and health and safety standards.
- Support our compliance with WEEE Batteries, packaging, chemicals and Plastics reporting across Europe
- Maintain awareness of changes to the worldwide sustainability standards, directives, legislation, and regulations, with a good understanding of minimum requirements.
- Interpreting requirements for published standards, directives, legislation and regulations to provide accurate, effective advice, implementation, and reviews of regulatory compliance.
- Provide mentorship and support to project teams and suppliers on applicable product compliance and legislative requirements for existing or new product designs.
- Support Sky's involvement in trade associations on product environment and human rights topics. Ensure Sky's positions is represented - taking leadership roles as relevant.
- Support in collation and preparation of product technical files to support approval submissions. Researching applicable compliance requirements for developing new technologies.
- Coordinating product approval submissions. Reviewing and maintaining approvals databases and company systems for all sustainability areas.

What you'll bring:

- A sustainability background and experience in the consumer goods or similar industry will help deliver the high level of service needed to make sure Sky's products meet the highest standards.
- Strong communication skills and confidence; you'll be hands-on with manufacturing teams and suppliers and will have a voice across the whole product development, production and supply chain process including direct and indirect spend.
- Strong problem solving, and analytical abilities combined with excellent attention to detail
- You will be aware of the climate emergency and support Sky understanding the carbon impact of our parts and products helping Sky accurately measure our product footprint and leading programmes for reducing our impact
- You'll need a working knowledge and understanding of product development and manufacturing systems, technologies, and processes, as well as an appreciation of consumer goods.
- Skills in environmental, social and governance will be essential in driving the business forward to meet our high standards and improve those of our supply chain partners.
