Job Summary
An experienced technician is required to oversee the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and control equipment.
This role involves managing fault correction, calibration, preventative maintenance, and overhaul of instrumentation and control equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Electrical Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation team to ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally.
Key Responsibilities
Shut down, isolate and test run machines and equipment as required for maintenance purposes
Diagnose faults in, repair and calibrate control and monitoring loop elements, electronic systems and sub-assemblies
Perform routine calibration of process instruments, both in-situ and in the workshop
Perform preventive maintenance tasks
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a relevant trade qualification (Cert III-Cert IV or equivalent) as an Electrical OR Instrumentation technician, along with experience across a wide range of technical instrumentation in a pharmaceutical, FMCG, oil and gas or similar industry.
A sound understanding of calibration methods and experience in conducting non-conformance investigations are also essential.
Computer literacy – knowledge of SAP or another CMMS system – is highly desirable.
