The Laboratory Analyst is to conduct simple and routine laboratory testing of raw materials, in process products, finished dose products, stability samples, environmental samples and water samples whilst maintaining a high standard of good practices in the laboratory

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- All testing for which the analyst has been deemed competent for, with the exception of Assay, Uniformity of Dosage Units - by Content Uniformity, Related Substances (or equivalent impurity test), and Particle Size.
- Support and encourage continuous improvement initiatives for the benefit of the Quality department and the wider business
- Ensure activities comply with GMP, legal and ethical standards
- Plan, monitor and achieve goals within set time frames
- Provide, build and maintain consistent, reliable and accurate customer service
- Accurately and efficiently sample materials in the Warehouse
- Comply with KPI requirements to ensure product is sampled within the timeframe needed to test and release for manufacturing or packaging
- Identify materials by Raman spectroscopy
- Log in materials into the LIMS system
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives

Job Requirements:

- Minimum high school education with passes in English and Maths
- Ability to read and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to comply with GxP
- Ability to build rapport, establish and maintain relationships with peers, business contacts, and corporate management
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines and targets with competing and conflicting priorities
- Demonstrated attention to detail and extensive technical knowledge and ability is essential in this role
- Sound judgement and decision making skills
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical GMP environment desirable but not essential
- Proven ability to work under mínimal supervision
- High level of written and verbal communication with experience writing reports
- Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures
