Strong Women Talking exists to prevent gendered violence through culturally grounded education, empowerment, and healing.
We walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women as they reclaim their voices and break the cycles of violence.We're looking for a First Nations Tidda to join us as a Case Manager — someone who can offer trauma-informed, culturally safe support to First Nations women navigating crisis, rebuilding safety, and finding healing.About the Role You'll be part of our frontline Program Team, working closely with women and families impacted by domestic and family violence.

Cultural Safety & Lived Experience

Referral and Advocacy Skills

Group Facilitation & Healing Practice
• Confidence in facilitating yarning circles and healing groups
• Understanding of community-based healing models

• Accurate case noting and record-keeping
• Managing referrals and support coordination tasks

Counselling or Social Work Exposure
• Background or training in brief counselling, psychology, social work, or community services

• Openness to being supported and challenged in cultural learningRequirementsThe Intake & Assessment Officer will provide support to the Advocacy & Prevention team at SWT and be the first point of contact for women wanting to access Strong Women Talking's services.
This role is focused on providing a, trauma informed/healing centred approach, to First Nation women aged 18 and above who have experienced gendered based violence across their life span.
The role will be responsible for contacting women that have registered interest into our programs and will assess their eligibility for our services through an intake process.
In responding to clients who have experience Family or Domestic Violence, the Intake and Assessment Officer utilises a screening, triage and risk assessment process and provides high quality intake and assessment screening.
The role may support the delivery of groups, events or be asked to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically stated in this position description.
