In November 2023, we locked in two major Federal Government contracts—big wins that fund and define this role.
As our Commercial Contract Manager, you'll be the go-to for managing the full contract lifecycle.
You'll keep us compliant, reduce risk, and make sure every clause supports our strategic goals.

This role can be based in either Melbourne or ACT.
Willingness to undergo Baseline, NV1 security vetting or any customer specific clearance as the contract requires.
Responsibilities: Member of the Vocus BAU team for the Customer Contract Lifecycle Management: Craft, review, negotiate, execute, and monitor a wide variety of contracts and contract variations.
Proposal Review: Review and provide contractual oversight of new client proposals.
Critical Deliverables Management: Meeting Critical Deliverables and Key Milestones and assisting with Contracted deliverables Compliance Oversight: Drive compliance to contractual obligations, legal standards, and governance framework Risk & Issue Management: Identify and resolve commercial and contractual issues across all organisational levels Commercial Governance: Cost control, invoice accuracy, payment timing, savings initiatives and fostering collaboration with Billing teams Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with internal teams, vendors, and the Department, providing updates and facilitating collaboration Change & Variation Control: Manage scope changes, Contract variations, Contract Renewals and extensions of time (EOT), including documentation and approvals Financial Oversight: Monitor cost control, invoice accuracy, payment timing, and savings initiatives Governance & Reporting: Provide accurate reports on contract performance and financial status to senior leadership Skills: Confident communicator who can engage with everyone—from frontline teams to execs and government stakeholders—with clarity and impact.
Contract-savvy and commercially sharp, with experience in procurement, negotiation, drafting, and resolving complex contract issues.
Project-ready mindset, backed by strong program management skills and the ability to juggle competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Safety-first attitude, with a solid understanding of WHS requirements and a commitment to creating safe work environments.
Analytical and adaptable, with strong financial acumen, legal awareness, and the ability to find practical, win-win solutions to complex problems.
