We are recruiting for an
**lnternal Controls Business Partner** to join the client's team and focus on promoting and delivering excellence in risk management and internal controls.

Based in North Sydney with some WFH flexibility, this role will support the Financial Controller in assessing the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommending improvements with the following key responsibilities.

**Key responsibilities**
- Partner with finance and operations teams to embed culture of best practice in effective internal controls
- Keep current on business changes to ensure controls are fit for purpose
- Coordinate periodic testing and reporting on effectiveness of controls
- Identify risk and gaps in controls making recommendation to address
- Confirm controls aligned with any process changes and ensure documentation is updated
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Business or Minimum 2 years in a similar audit/risk management role
- Experience designing business processes and related controls
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Results driven multi-tasker
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Sector experience in financial services valued but not essential
