**THE ROLE**

The **Business Controller** for PAC (Australia and Pacific region)region will support the Regional Financial Controller from PAC region in on-going modelling and analysis business performance, reporting, budgeting & forecasting. The position requires not only the collection of data but more importantly financial support through the interpretation and analysis of the trends and interrelationships that allow informed business decisions to be made.

Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller PAC ("RFC"), the Business Controller will support the RFC in all aspects of Finance and Accounting within (PAC), and be a strong business partner to the various business leaders within Pacific sub region and the leader of all aspects of the entity accounting and finance organization.

This is a **contract role for one (1) year.**

**OPPORTUNITIES**
- You will prepare analysis on project profitability and capacity planning to enable decision-making or help understand business drivers.
- You will assist financial controller in cash collection process, ensuring cash collection is maximized and risk minimized.
- You will support regional controllers on project accounting, forecasting and preparation of project control pack
- You will support financial controller on Internal Project Reviews ensure relevant financial/business issues are actioned.
- You will assist delivery controller in maintaining process for reviewing Time and materials projects, whilst maintaining the associated spreadsheets
- You will assist Delivery Controller PAC in adhoc analysis
- You will collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- You will maintain Hyperion Database
- You will upload forecast in Oracle, or ensure journal entries are done on time
- You will consolidate and provide analysis on the balance sheet for PAC
- You will review net working capital by customer
- You will improve processes and financial modelling
- You will support the country and regional business heads in meeting their goals and targets whilst remaining within the Groups tolerance for risk and Company's policy and guideline.
- You will lead and inspire the finance department (include the shared service team) of PAC.
- You will ensure compliance to group internal controls and financial policies.
You will ensure compliance to all internal reporting requirements and timeline, i.e. monthly scorecards (variance analysis), monthly forecast reviews and annual budget.
- You will consolidate the results for PAC and variance analysis.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- You should have experience in analysis
- You should possess at least a Bachelor of Accountancy (Finance, Business Administration).
- You should possess strong business acumen
- You should have proven track record in Finance Business Partnering and stakeholder management
- You should have experience in strategic decision support
- You should have IFRS GAAP Knowledge especially relating to IT industry or any knowledge of local REGION GAAP
- You should have in depth understanding of Finance and Business Control requirements in an IT/Software Business Environment.
- You should have ability to work and succeed in multi-cultural environment
- You should be able to articulate complex business / financial concepts in a clear and coherent way
- You should have the ability to drive positive business outcomes to meet targets
- You should have strong stakeholder management
- You should have perfect command of English, English being the company's business language. Other languages would be a significant asset.
- You should be assertive with a strong and outspoken personality
- You should have the capacity to work independently on own initiative
- You should be team-player, proactive, results-oriented
- Accounting/ Business Qualification
- Proven track record as Business analyst and strong stakeholder management
- Experience in the software industry Extensive/proficient experience with Excel a must
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work under pressure, stress and tight timeline and deliver on due date
