Dendy Cinemas Brisbane hosts a mix of quality multiplex cinema, the exclusive Dendy Premium Lounge at Dendy Coorparoo and Brisbane's first year-round Outdoor Cinema at Dendy Powerhouse Outdoor Cinema.The Assistant Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the cinema, ensuring high levels of customer service, day-to-day operations, technical supervision, group bookings coordination, inventory management and staff training and development.
The Assistant Manager reports to the General Manager, and works closely with internal departments.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1.
To assist the General Manager in carrying out the duties of the manager as provided for in the cinema award, and be called upon to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the General Manager during their absence2.
To supervise all areas of the cinema whilst on shift, including the supervision of Level 1 - 5 employees3.
To apply quality control techniques and maintain a high level of cleanliness4.
Inventory control5.
To perform work under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment6.
To apply intelligent approaches to solving complex problems in a timely and precise manner7.
To be jointly responsible for the administration of the Cinema8.
To assist in developing and maintaining staff training and standards, and rosters9.
To assist in developing promotional activities10.
Ensure high technical standards are maintained11.
Other duties, as directed by the General ManagerSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEPrevious Cinema Management / Management experience.High technical aptitude - previous experience with cinema digital projection systems a bonus.Flourish in an exciting, fast paced, and high-pressure environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Good computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel.Initiative and high attention to detail with the ability to multitask.Experience in managing, and leading Teams, including Staff Roster Management, Recruitment & Training.Proven record of successful hospitality management, meeting financial targets, and delivering exceptional customer service outcomes.Stock control and cash management skills & experience.A love of quality cinema
