Operating as part of the wider Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) group, Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG) has an exciting portfolio consisting of 14 hotel and club venues located across greater Melbourne.

With the growing needs of the business, PLG are looking to recruit an **Operations Manager** to assist in overseeing the operations, procedures, and processes at the PLG venues in **Melbourne's eastern suburbs**. The Operations Manager will assist in coaching and mentoring venues to achieve their outcomes as well as drive the gaming performance and promote the sharing of gaming knowledge.

The successful applicant will be required to work outside the scope of normal working hours and be one of the main points of contact for venues. They will also be required to travel between the venues.

**What will the role include?**
- Drive the operational gaming performance of the portfolio and provide consultative support to drive decisions with our business partner MPS
- Ensure operational excellence and coach Venue Managers to perform at optimum level in delivering EBITDA
- Oversee venue portfolio operations to ensure operational excellence
- Conduct Head Chef and Venue Manager meetings each year
- Implement strategies for venue growth and enhancement
- Mitigate compliance-related risks through proactive measures
- Be on call to answer phone calls and attend venues as needed
- Work closely with and support our Learning and Development Program

**Requirements**:

- Extraordinary time management skills, ensuring work life balance within a busy role that operates outside of business hours and on weekends.
- Willingness to travel 500+km per week
- Demonstrate strong commercial and industry acumen.
- Business related qualifications preferred or 10+ years industry experience
- Demonstrated experience and success with overseeing venue gaming operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
- Excels in difficult conversations and providing constructive feedback
- Be a role model for venue culture for staff that; open to change, supports continuous quality improvement, collaboration, respect and accountability
- High attention to detail

- Venue Operator Licence
- AML
- Your Play, Gaming Licence, TAB Operator and Cash Controller, TAB compliance
