A large Government organisation that provides a range of community services requires an experienced Payments Officer for a 12 Month contract. Parramatta based

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE REQUIRES AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP

**Your new role**

This Payments Officer role has high level contact with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be communicating and providing advice on a range of matters including straightforward to moderately complex enquiries.

Responsibilities include:

- Investigating and resolving outstanding payment requests
- Work through and resolve payment enquiries for internal and external stakeholders
- Processing manual payments to suppliers and clients
- Contribute to decision-making within the team/work area
- Consistently meeting team and individual work resolution targets
- Keeping updated on compliance and legislation
- Maintaining an awareness of government decision-making policies, guidelines and regulations

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Solid payments experience and resolving complex payment information
- Strong communication skills
- Strong understanding of payment processes and reconciliations
- Professional and patient approach - you will be managing a range of payments queries unique to each provider
- Good systems skills and process management
