
Fleet Operations Co-Ordinator

We are looking for another Operations Cordinator to manage the fleet of company drivers. Instilling a focus developing a strong, high performing team culture and leading from the front. You will be responsible for reviewing processes to ensure improvements are made where needed. You will be proactive in your approach to safety, managing customer expectations and scheduling. You will require excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the fleet is managed in accordance with Fleet Safety First requirements;
- Manage workforce planning by optimization scheduling, shift, overtime and sub-contractor utilization;
- This is an extremely in-depth role requiring 100% commitment.
- You will work in with our night co-ordinators to ensure plans are done correctly and effectively accross the operation.
The days of work for this shift are Monday to Friday, with the need to cover every second weekend. You will get 2 days in lieu during the week for the weekend work, which can also be performed from home.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an analytical person, a strong team player that has proven experience in transport operation. You will have a strong knowledge in COR and truck transport safety along with the maturity to drive a strong culture across the operation. Excellent communication skills are key.
This is a 24/7 based operation and the expectation on servicing our customer requirements is key to your success in this role.
Skills and Experience
- Transport operation background (preferred, but not essential)
- Strong communication with drivers clients on all aspects of workplace performance;
- Highly developed decision making capability, including competency in making timely and effective decisions, with an ability to identify opportunities for improvement and commitment to drive outcomes;
- Demonstrable achievements in service delivery, team leadership, quality and process improvement, and leading and implementing change;
- Can demonstrate initiatives and improvement strategies that have been created and implemented;
- Knowledge of all Transport safety initiatives such as Chain of Responsibility, BFM and Mass management;
- Highly developed computer literacy skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office Suite and Transportation IT systems would be advantageous;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
