The opportunity- Opportunity to work for a leading Global Insurer.- This role will see you supporting and managing aspects of planning, forecasting and performance of the business within the Financial Planning & Analysis team.

Your new role

A great opportunity for a manager to join QBE's Group Financial Planning and Analysis team.

This non-traditional, strategic role will be supporting the Head of Group Planning to manage and lead planning, forecasting and strategic initiatives across the business.

Partnering and with divisional leaders, you will gather financial information in an accurate and timely manner, measuring financial performance across the business, identifying areas of improvement, and presenting findings to senior management including the Group CFO and CEO, GEC and the Board to support effective decision making by the wider business.

You will also:
- Actively contribute to the implementation of the QBE Group Finance Strategy- Assist with the advancing and embedding of finance frameworks, including the Earnings at Risk framework- Build a foundation of trust and advisory with divisional leaders to ensure alignment with the Group Portfolio Optimisation Strategy and continued performance improvement- Support with quarterly and annual forecasting, planning and budgeting for Group, identifying and driving improvements and acceptable outcome along the way- Maintain a productive working relationship between Group teams (Finance, Actuarial, Investments, Underwriting, Risk, Reinsurance) and play an active role in cultivating an Enterprise mindset with Divisional teams- Develop and maintain Group Planning & Forecasting Requirement documents and update planning models as required- Lead and participate in ongoing finance projects

About you

To be successful as the Manager, Group Planning and Forecasting you will have extensive experience within accounting, actuarial, investment management or banking roles, ideally in the insurance or financial services industry.

You will also have;- Relevant tertiary degree in accounting, finance, actuarial or business- 5 + years' experience within a similar role- Proven experience with coaching, mentoring and developing a team- Commercially aware and financially astute mindset, understanding of how specific drivers impact business performance- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with an ability to interpret data and work systematically through complex matters and positively influence outcomes- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under time pressure and meet deadlines with mínimal guidance- Financial modelling experience preferred but not essential- Project management experience preferred but not essential
