**THE OPPORTUNITY**

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced leader in Safety & Continous Improvement to join our Queensland team based in Ormeau. This role will work closely with all stakeholders to lead workplace health & safety, quality and compliance along with driving continuous improvement activities across the business.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coach and educate employees on WHS responsibilities & support them in their obligations.
- Comply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, Stratco policies & ethical standards.
- Ensure all safety and compliance training requirements are met (including identifying ongoing safety training requirements).
- Conduct or coordinate incident and accident investigations to determine causal factors and recommend preventative actions.
- Coordinate and develop rehabilitation and return to work programs.
- Assist business units with hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Develop regular audit procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices to optimise operational processes.
- Collaborate with teams to identify inefficiencies, analyse workflows, and implement solutions that drive measurable improvements.
- Lead and facilitate improvement projects to achieve operational excellence.
- Conduct thorough process evaluations, root cause analyses, and performance metrics assessments to identify areas for enhancement.
- Promote a safe working environment amongst all personnel and lead by example.
- Strict adherence to our critical safety rules & contributing to a safe working environment.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Tertiary qualifications in a Health and Safety/Engineering/Management/Health Science or business-related discipline, or equivalent proven professional experience.
- Proven track record (2 years) in a similar role, demonstrating successful implementation of continuous improvement practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, analyse data, and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent project management and leadership abilities with a focus on collaboration and team building.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and strategies across the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders.
- Be action oriented and able to effectively communicate at all levels.
- Be a hands on, practical person with a good technical ability.
- Be honest, self-motivated and have a passionate desire to be successful.
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
